Francisco Alagoano came out of the goal and Nicanor Pueblo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 9 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dário Moreira. After a rather tough play, Palmares Futebol Clube's Jarbas Porto got a free kick in the 10th minute. Francisco Alagoano came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Waitakere F.C.'s Nicanor Pueblo. But to his dismay, Nicanor Pueblo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Jo Calleri kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sergio Nazario. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, Waitakere F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Claudinei Loureiro came free, but Sergio Nazario reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Salles. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silvano Martxel to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Nicanor Pueblo came free, but Francisco Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicanor Pueblo in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Alagoano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 87th minute, Tomas Unai left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Waitakere F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The audience thought a goal was coming when Silvano Martxel got free with Francisco Alagoano in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sergio Nazario made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jo Calleri in the 96th minute of play.
