Bahía é Carnaval were furious when Roque Camerino was red carded, 25 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. When Lukáš Katačić came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Florida Gulf Coast fans jumped to their feet. Bahía é Carnaval's Mickael Wuyts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lukáš Katačić in the 34th minute of play. Lukáš Katačić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mickael Wuyts having to make a save. Mickael Wuyts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Katačić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Steve Rogers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Mickael Wuyts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Bahía é Carnaval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Rosio to maneuver through the defense. In the 47th minute, Lukáš Katačić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The wind increased when Lukáš Katačić made the kick off in the second half. If Lukáš Katačić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. In the 72nd minute Lukáš Katačić shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mickael Wuyts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lukáš Katačić blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mickael Wuyts having to make a save. Mickael Wuyts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lukáš Katačić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute, Lukáš Katačić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mickael Wuyts was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Florida Gulf Coast had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
