Benjamim Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wincenty Zarobski, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Kostyantyn Bidnyj's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benjamim Nunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Real Madryt were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after WAU team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alfonso Dorio took the corner. After taking down the ball on Real Madryt's corner Alfonso Dorio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Benjamim Nunes quite easily take care of the ball. In the 27th match minute, WAU team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rony de Andrade to maneuver through the defense. Mané Abreu hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Real Madryt defense, Paulo Paiva kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luisinho Koehler. The Real Madryt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luisinho Koehler should have stopped the shot. 36 minutes into the game, Juvenal Lobato was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Madryt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave WAU team the free kick. In the 44th minute Kostyantyn Bidnyj shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benjamim Nunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ostap Dorosh kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luiz Fernando de Toledo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Real Madryt's Wincenty Zarobski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Wincenty Zarobski lined in a short shot 1-2 behind a frustrated Benjamim Nunes.
