Remigio Uhin was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 75th minute, Remigio Uhin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 77 minutes into the match, GOMEZ F.C.'s Rudolf Bergqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernando Ruisko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. GOMEZ F.C.'s Silvain Labrouche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Olguín in the 88th minute of play. El Millo de Haedo's Hernán Crespo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Silvain Labrouche in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Alejo Urtun could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Silvain Labrouche made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Hernán Crespo managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Millo de Haedo's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernán Crespo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvain Labrouche breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The El Millo de Haedo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing El Millo de Haedo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
