In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Marcelo Eufemio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marcelo Eufemio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gordon Suarez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Gordon Suarez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute Gordon Suarez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Eufemio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vanadio F.C.'s Paulin Sequeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lisandro Lopez in the 22nd minute of play. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gordon Suarez to make the kick off. Vanadio F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Maxin Oces in the 53rd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gordon Suarez in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcelo Eufemio saved Racing Club【LBF】 from getting behind. Vanadio F.C. made a substitution. Leizarraga Olmedo replaced Evaristo Gurruchaga. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Club【LBF】's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Leizarraga Olmedo was slow to take the kick. During this time Vanadio F.C.'s players had a chance to rest. Vanadio F.C.'s Leizarraga Olmedo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelo Eufemio in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 61 minutes into the match, Vanadio F.C.'s Leizarraga Olmedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marcelo Eufemio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A well-hit corner resulted in Rıfat Şahin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Marcelo Eufemio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leizarraga Olmedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Marcelo Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leizarraga Olmedo in the 86th minute of play. After 87 minutes Racing Club【LBF】's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Leizarraga Olmedo who took care of the corner kick. In the 89th minute Bekir Çağan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Eufemio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Leizarraga Olmedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bekir Çağan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Eufemio having to interfere. Marcelo Eufemio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leizarraga Olmedo in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vanadio F.C. fans cheered their team off the field, for while Racing Club【LBF】 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
