The corner led Tigres Ñacuñán FC's Andres Pitin to fire away a dangerous shot which Ionel Panaitoiu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Ionel Panaitoiu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sinan Okergun in the 15th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Christian Bergqvist had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ionel Panaitoiu. Phoenix Strikers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christian Bergqvist was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ionel Panaitoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sinan Okergun in the 30th minute of play. Toader Ghișe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Eloy Mazuste tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tigres Ñacuñán FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Phoenix Strikers to leave the ground with a draw.
