Dariusz Ziombkowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 8th match minute, AKS Chorzów was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aleksander Siekierka to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerry Jonasson. AKS Chorzów's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Henric Persson scored to the left of an out of position Dariusz Ziombkowski, making the score, 3-0. Dariusz Ziombkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henric Persson in the 17th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Ulf Nordlander's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dariusz Ziombkowski was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. 22 minutes into the game, DIF LEEDS BK's Ulf Nordlander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dariusz Ziombkowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Dariusz Ziombkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henric Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save AKS Chorzów from getting a goal against them. But to his dismay, Jerry Jonasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Ulf Nordlander's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Dariusz Ziombkowski skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Eliézer Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dariusz Ziombkowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eliézer Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Ulf Nordlander had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dariusz Ziombkowski. AKS Chorzów's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulf Nordlander was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zachary Bentkowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerry Jonasson in the 52nd minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the AKS Chorzów defense, Saul Drew kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dariusz Ziombkowski. The AKS Chorzów fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dariusz Ziombkowski should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Nordlander in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dariusz Ziombkowski saved AKS Chorzów from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in AKS Chorzów's zone, Jerry Jonasson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dariusz Ziombkowski came out of the goal and Jerry Jonasson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Nordlander in the 67th minute of play. DIF LEEDS BK made a substitution. Pál Kormos replaced Henric Persson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulf Nordlander in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dariusz Ziombkowski saved AKS Chorzów from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Renzo Ingelborgs in the 75th minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Dariusz Ziombkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the game, Jerry Jonasson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 12-0. Dariusz Ziombkowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 80th minute, Pál Kormos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The DIF LEEDS BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. Ulf Nordlander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dariusz Ziombkowski having to interfere. In the 89th minute Saul Drew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dariusz Ziombkowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AKS Chorzów's Dariusz Ziombkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jerry Jonasson in the 91st minute of play. DIF LEEDS BK's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
