Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alejandro Glaría in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jiang Lei prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, CERRO PORTEÑO's goal looked a bit too open when José Luis Sánchez came free, but Jiang Lei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute José Luis Sánchez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jiang Lei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Javier Sanguinetti in the 24th minute. Alejandro Cabrera made in the 27th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which José Luis Sánchez however managed to control. Luciano Lollo charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luciano Lollo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 28th minute, Luciano Lollo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, CERRO PORTEÑO's Vermudo Capetillo got a free kick in the 31st minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Martin Payero in the 34th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Jiang Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Jiménez in the 37th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind CERRO PORTEÑO's goalkeeper Jiang Lei, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 46th minute, José Luis Sánchez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mohieddine Ayari to make the kick off. Alejandro Glaría sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jiang Lei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Guido Alvarenga in the 59th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Jiang Lei successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Mohieddine Ayari kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's Nicolás Domingo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jiang Lei but with some difficulty. Jiang Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Luis Sánchez, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. With an all-out effort, lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's Jiang Lei threw himself towards the right post 68 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alejandro Glaría, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After having played for 71 minutes, Martin Payero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Payero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohieddine Ayari in the 74th minute of play forced lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's goalkeeper Ediberto Righi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 75 minutes into the match, lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's goal looked a bit too open when Mohieddine Ayari came free, but Ediberto Righi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jiang Lei didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Jiménez went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Mohieddine Ayari recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jiang Lei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guido Alvarenga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Alan Paredes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 93 minutes, Alejandro Glaría managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lןןl EdF Garrafa Sanchez's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alejandro Glaría was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96th minute, CERRO PORTEÑO's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Martin Payero fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
