A hard shot 28 in the game by Luiz Marquez from a close distance when the talented Jesus Satordi managed to make a qualified save. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's players were relieved. In the 39th minute, Independente FC's Luiz Marquez dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. A collision led to Independente FC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Nilson Duarte hit a great ball. Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Alastair Howson was substituted for Alonso Quesada. In the 48th minute, Nilson Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The corner led Independente FC's Hudson Toscano to fire away a dangerous shot which Jesus Satordi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 80 played minutes Independente FC got a freekick which was hit by Álvaro Matos. The crowd rose to their feet as Elizabeth Three Lions FC's Richard Scholten slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nando Sena. That made the score 1-4 after 83 minutes of play. Nando Sena made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Ed Moore sent off a good shot on target. Nilson Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
