André Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandru Tudorică, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Rovine Craiova were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Uruguaiana's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandru Tudorică took the corner. Alexandru Tudorică made a great header on Rovine Craiova's corner, it was just that Uruguaiana's André Sena managed to reach the ball for a save. With an all-out effort, Rovine Craiova's André Sena threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Marcel Turcescu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Marcelo Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 22nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lucrețiu Dragoș. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marcelo Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Uruguaiana's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jorginho Britto in the 26th minute. Cristinel Leluțius short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got André Sena to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcel Turcescu in the 33rd minute of play forced Uruguaiana's goalkeeper André Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Dragoș breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 44th minute, Jyrki Saarelainen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rovine Craiova fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristinel Leluțiu to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, Rovine Craiova's Jyrki Saarelainen made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! André Sena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jyrki Saarelainen, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Uruguaiana's goal looked a bit too open when Gustaw Rasialdo came free, but André Sena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Víktor Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Jyrki Saarelainen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Uruguaiana's Flávio Veloso was substituted for Luís Fabiano Mattos. In the 81st minute Cristinel Leluțiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Sena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Uruguaiana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorginho Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Víktor Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Uruguaiana defense, Jyrki Saarelainen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of André Sena. The Uruguaiana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that André Sena should have stopped the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jorginho Britto during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jorginho Britto hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Rovine Craiova players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
