After taking down the ball on Huckebein's corner Lucjan Kendra fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julian Zakrzewski quite easily take care of the ball. Julian Zakrzewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marin Jumancă in the 23rd minute of the match. When Eriberto Terra fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Apolo Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ethan Smart, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marin Jumancă got free with Julian Zakrzewski in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Kujawiak Włocławek booed when Huckebein was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfredo Ugutz didn't get a good kick on the ball.
