An unexpectedly hard shot by Nikos Valassiou in the 20th minute of play forced SK Mons's goalkeeper Connor Osmond to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, El Pinar's goal looked a bit too open when Bogumil Czapski came free, but Ni Tian Peng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Connor Osmond made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. El Pinar played a much better game than SK Mons and deserved their victory. The SK Mons players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
