Bogumil Czapski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eser Şemsi having to make a save. The referee ignored All Stars Gent's protests and gave Ray Van Aarschot a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Ray Van Aarschot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 46 minutes into the match, SK Mons's Nick Daniels broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

SK Mons's Connor Osmond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christiaan Elsen in the 52nd minute of play. Steven Puttemans struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Eser Şemsi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Mons. Luka Van Aken helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th match minute, SK Mons was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luka Van Aken to maneuver through the defense. SK Mons's Cornel Ulici was substituted for Bogumil Czapski. Eser Şemsi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cornel Ulici, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
