Óscar Cordoba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Sergipano in the 10th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jardel Sergipano in the 12th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Óscar Cordoba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. GREEK ARMY were awarded a corner in the 14th minute after Sporting de Gijón's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vlassis Mellios took the corner. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Sergipano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Sergipano in the 21st minute of the match. Styrbjörn Stokken made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Matias Bilintx sent off a good shot on target. GREEK ARMY's attentive Recep Tayyip Özakıncı managed to snatch the ball when Atilano Feo made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. The audience was convinced that Jardel Sergipano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Óscar Cordoba was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jardel Sergipano in the 34th minute of play. Sporting de Gijón's Carolo Ovando was substituted for Venancio Emesto. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Matias Bilintx to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Sporting de Gijón's Óscar Cordoba got control of the ball when Jardel Sergipano tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 65 minutes Sporting de Gijón's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Vlassis Mellios who took care of the corner kick. Jardel Sergipano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. GREEK ARMY's Vrasidas Drambas was substituted for Hüsnü Tuyan. Óscar Cordoba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Sergipano in the 70th minute of the match. Eustacio Loiola made in the 73rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Matias Bilintx immediately put the ball in play. Styrbjörn Stokken made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan de Barros in the 75th minute of play. When Matias Bilintx came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Sporting de Gijón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matias Bilintx couldn't finish the play. Styrbjörn Stokken showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matias Bilintx, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. GREEK ARMY's Styrbjörn Stokken played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Bilintx in the 84th minute of play. After 86 played minutes GREEK ARMY got a freekick which was hit by Spyros Paterakis. GREEK ARMY's Grigoris Karagiotakis managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eustacio Loiola in the 90 minute of the game. Óscar Cordoba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lambis Kazantzakoglou, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Lambis Kazantzakoglou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sporting de Gijón's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
