A well-hit corner resulted in Gilberto Loreto heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Maximiliano Iigo came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Showtime FC's Fabian Todor. But to his dismay, Fabian Todor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Maximiliano Iigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Dominic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maximiliano Iigo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Dominic, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 19th minute, José Puch made a precise shot to the right of Maximiliano Iigo. ★Independiente Ψ★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Showtime FC's zone, Gabriel-Omar Batista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Simon Hori came out of the goal and Gabriel-Omar Batista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Mero in the 23rd minute of play forced ★Independiente Ψ★'s goalkeeper Maximiliano Iigo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, ★Independiente Ψ★'s Gabriel-Omar Batista sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simon Hori narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half Showtime FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The ★Independiente Ψ★ fans cheered their team off the field, for while Showtime FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
