Torstein Stenseth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Vítor Aparecido, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, José Vítor Aparecido dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Torstein Stenseth, 2-0. A collision led to Corinthians FC getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rodney Renwick hit a great ball.

The Braga Junior FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emilio Lain in the 68th minute of play forced Corinthians FC's goalkeeper Torstein Stenseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 70th minute, Emilio Lain made a precise shot to the right of Torstein Stenseth. Corinthians FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. In the 72nd minute Emilio Lain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torstein Stenseth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Len Woolford dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Silvinho Veiga, 5-1. Braga Junior FC's Hélio Vaz was substituted for José Vítor Aparecido. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélio Vaz in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torstein Stenseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Hélio Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Braga Junior FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hélio Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torstein Stenseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hélio Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corinthians FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Braga Junior FC.
