The supporters of Los Gallos booed when Braga Junior FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Perico Ferrer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Lain blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anacleto Horado having to make a save. Silvinho Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcos Abellan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Horado made an important save on a dangerous shot by José Vítor Aparecido in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Alfredinho Botelho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Anacleto Horado. Los Gallos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfredinho Botelho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0.
