With a little luck, Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing got control of the ball when Corneliu Dridu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 15th minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. Abandon All Hope's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wanderson Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. Dedê de Castro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Corneliu Dridu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Meng Yan Jing made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frédson Lira during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21st match minute, Dr Lecter SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Lira to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. Abandon All Hope's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wanderson Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. 29 minutes in the game Fu Wei Di did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Emil Dunajski. 32 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Meng Yan Jing narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Corneliu Dridu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corneliu Dridu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Meng Yan Jing made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Pająk to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Corneliu Dridu in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Meng Yan Jing prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corneliu Dridu in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meng Yan Jing saved Abandon All Hope from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corneliu Dridu in the 53rd minute of play forced Abandon All Hope's goalkeeper Meng Yan Jing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Meng Yan Jing showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Jiang Sang Qing hit a great ball. In the 68th minute Wes Vranx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meng Yan Jing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wanderson Fernandez might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Meng Yan Jing. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wanderson Fernandez ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the game, Corneliu Dridu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Meng Yan Jing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Meng Yan Jing made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 72nd minute of play. Abandon All Hope's Meng Yan Jing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lauro Antunes in the 74th minute of play. After 76 minutes Abandon All Hope's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wanderson Fernandez who took care of the corner kick. Dr Lecter SC's Wanderson Fernandez was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Meng Yan Jing in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Yao Xiang Zheng kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. After having played for 93 minutes, Wanderson Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dr Lecter SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wanderson Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 97th minute of the match Dr Lecter SC got a corner. Abandon All Hope's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wanderson Fernandez ran over to the corner to take the kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Abandon All Hope players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dr Lecter SC.
