Omid Kaulbach took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabian Söderström. Haithabu FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 35 minutes Haithabu FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Omid Kaulbach who took care of the corner kick. Lucas Martínez Quarta thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Fabian Söderström, a very annoying self made goal in the 35th minute which led to 0-3. If Omid Kaulbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Harold Van Cruchten kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Haithabu FC defense, Corneliu Dridu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Söderström. The Haithabu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Söderström should have stopped the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Omid Kaulbach notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström. Fabian Söderström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramzi Drouart made a kick off. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lauro Antunes in the 51st minute of play. The supporters of Dr Lecter SC booed when Haithabu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Martínez Quarta didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Haithabu FC's Lucas Martínez Quarta got a free kick in the 56th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Corneliu Dridu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fabian Söderström. That made the score 0-6 in the 58 minute of play. 61 minutes into the game, Önder Kaçan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Haithabu FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dr Lecter SC the free kick. After 61 played minutes Haithabu FC got a freekick which was hit by Önder Kaçan. If Ramzi Drouart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabian Söderström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lauro Antunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Haithabu FC's Fabian Söderström got control of the ball when Corneliu Dridu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabian Söderström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Corneliu Dridu went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. The crowd rose to their feet as Dr Lecter SC's Lauro Antunes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fabian Söderström. That made the score 0-8 after 79 minutes of play. After some careless play in the Haithabu FC defense, Omid Kaulbach kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fabian Söderström. The Haithabu FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fabian Söderström should have stopped the shot. Dr Lecter SC made a substitution. Wes Vranx replaced Dieguinho de Medeiros. Dr Lecter SC's Augustin Ţopescu was substituted for Válbson Batista. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Mauri Icardi replaced Ramzi Drouart. Fabian Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Corneliu Dridu in the 92nd minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Dr Lecter SC's Corneliu Dridu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabian Söderström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wes Vranx kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Dr Lecter SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
