Harry Robson started the match with the kick off. Mickael Volders hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in East Ham United's zone, Ramzi Drouart stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Theo Groom came out of the goal and Ramzi Drouart tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the East Ham United defense, Ramzi Drouart kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Groom. The East Ham United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Groom should have stopped the shot. Theo Groom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramzi Drouart in the 15th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Jacinto Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, East Ham United's Quentin Bell got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Ramzi Drouart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Theo Groom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramzi Drouart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jacinto Torres might have been able to make a better finish in the 25th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Theo Groom. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Torres ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, East Ham United's Les Simpson got a free kick in the 26th minute. Theo Groom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jacinto Torres in the 26th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jacinto Torres in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Theo Groom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 34 minutes into the match, East Ham United's goal looked a bit too open when Ramzi Drouart came free, but Theo Groom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theo Groom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Torres in the 35th minute of the match. Theo Groom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramzi Drouart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Harold Van Cruchten got a throw-in 39 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ramzi Drouart. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Harry Robson advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 47th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ollie Halford during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ollie Halford hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 52 minutes into the match, East Ham United's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Sá came free, but Theo Groom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Torres in the 56th minute of play forced East Ham United's goalkeeper Theo Groom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Ramzi Drouart came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Haithabu FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramzi Drouart couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute, Ritchie Branston hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th play minute Ramzi Drouart came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Theo Groom. 1-2. Theo Groom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 74th minute. After 75 minutes, Ritchie Branston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the East Ham United and the Haithabu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, East Ham United's Ritchie Branston got a free kick in the 75th minute. East Ham United's Theo Groom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramzi Drouart in the 76th minute of play. After 77 played minutes East Ham United got a freekick which was hit by Ritchie Branston. A hard shot 78 in the game by Ramzi Drouart from a close distance when the talented Theo Groom managed to make a qualified save. East Ham United's players were relieved. 80 minutes into the game, Ramzi Drouart cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Theo Groom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ramzi Drouart blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Theo Groom having to make a save. 85 minutes into the match, Ramzi Drouart notched a goal, 1-4, to the right of East Ham United's Theo Groom. Theo Groom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Haithabu FC's Mauri Icardi was substituted for Ramzi Drouart. Haithabu FC made a substitution. Bruno Poets replaced Jacinto Torres. A sloppy throw-in by Timothy Breckin in the 91st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Haithabu FC's Harold Van Cruchten. In the 95th minute, Manuel Sá hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
