Sipo EC's Genílson Gaspar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sipo EC from getting a goal against them. Alejandro Berto's late challenge caught a Sipo EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejandro Berto helped the player get up and apologised. LA IMPRENTA's Bernardino Mark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Décio Messias in the 45th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, LA IMPRENTA's goal looked a bit too open when Américo Marinho came free, but Bernardino Mark reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardino Mark took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Prata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
