Matthieu Abelard made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Natus Vincere F.C.'s Zorko Quack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bobby Bear in the 8th minute of play. Zorko Quack showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olly Nethercot, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Natus Vincere F.C.'s Zorko Quack proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Natus Vincere F.C. from getting a goal against them. Zorko Quack stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olly Nethercot's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Matthieu Abelard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albeiro Usuriaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albeiro Usuriaga might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Matthieu Abelard. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albeiro Usuriaga ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albeiro Usuriaga in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Matthieu Abelard saved Club Atlético de Newell from getting behind. After 34 minutes of play, Natus Vincere F.C.'s Albeiro Usuriaga made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Matthieu Abelard was left in no man's land by his defense there! Albeiro Usuriaga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Matthieu Abelard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Albeiro Usuriaga's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Matthieu Abelard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. In the 42nd minute Natus Vincere F.C. were awarded a corner. Domingo Oihenarte went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Domingo Oihenarte got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Matthieu Abelard quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 45 minutes into the game, Orvar Carlsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Natus Vincere F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atlético de Newell the free kick. Orvar Carlsson hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olly Nethercot to make the kick off. Zorko Quack took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hugo Alexandersen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 52 played minutes Natus Vincere F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Gustaw Jaraczeski. A collision led to Natus Vincere F.C. getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Telmo Nogueira hit a great ball. Zorko Quack made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hugo Alexandersen in the 58th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Albeiro Usuriaga came free, but Matthieu Abelard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Hugo Alexandersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zorko Quack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Club Atlético de Newell's goal looked a bit too open when Albeiro Usuriaga came free, but Matthieu Abelard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Olly Nethercot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zorko Quack saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcos Lustosa during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Natus Vincere F.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marcos Lustosa hit a great ball. Natus Vincere F.C.'s Cristian Lema was substituted for Jonatan Maidana. With a little luck, Club Atlético de Newell's Matthieu Abelard got control of the ball when Pedro Domingues tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 80 minutes, Albeiro Usuriaga made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Club Atlético de Newell's Matthieu Abelard tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Benjamin Barfield kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Pedro Domingues was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 84th minute. Natus Vincere F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Matthieu Abelard didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albeiro Usuriaga went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. The nice shot from Orvar Carlsson in the 92ndth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Matthieu Abelard had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When Natus Vincere F.C.'s Pedro Domingues in the 93rd minute got a chance for a shot 93rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Club Atlético de Newell's goalie prevented a goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Natus Vincere F.C. walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
