In the 12th minute Macerio Cubria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quentin Kendrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Paulo Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Smitt in the 14th minute of the match. Luís Paulo Romero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertrand Glass, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Franciszek Kopacz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 21 minutes into the match, Fly T.T's goalkeeper Quentin Kendrick had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexsandro Tróia. Luís Paulo Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vadim Shiryaev, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After some careless play in the Fly T.T defense, Macerio Cubria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Quentin Kendrick. The Fly T.T fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Quentin Kendrick should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Niculae Maior to make the kick off. The supporters of Flying Dutch booed when Fly T.T was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Warner Paimboeuf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quentin Kendrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jardel Pinheiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Smitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luís Paulo Romero read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Flying Dutch's Luís Paulo Romero proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Flying Dutch from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute Jan Smitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Romero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franciszek Kopacz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Romero made a huge save. Jan Smitt hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Vadim Shiryaev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Romero made a huge save. In the 73rd minute Fly T.T were awarded a corner. Curt Weyermann went to the cornerflag to take it. Franciszek Kopacz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Romero having to interfere. Quentin Kendrick took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Macerio Cubria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Macerio Cubria in the 78th minute of play forced Fly T.T's goalkeeper Quentin Kendrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pastor Vergaray recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Smitt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Paulo Romero having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rhett Merchant managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fly T.T's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhett Merchant was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luís Paulo Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Freddy Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Fly T.T's Quentin Kendrick played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Niculae Maior in the 94th minute of play. A collision led to Flying Dutch getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Jardel Pinheiro hit a great ball. Flying Dutch succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Fly T.T had controlled the match.
