Korneliusz Brak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 7th minute of play. After 8 played minutes Quitilipi got a freekick which was hit by Jeremey Vanooteghem. In the 11th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Fontes in the 12th minute of play forced Quitilipi's goalkeeper Korneliusz Brak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korneliusz Brak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 16th minute of play. In the 26thth minute of the game Heleno de Freitas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 27th minute of the match Edson Futebol Clube got a corner. Quitilipi's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tao Xing Yong ran over to the corner to take the kick. Heleno de Freitas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Korneliusz Brak having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Heleno de Freitas came free, but Korneliusz Brak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ernesto Fontes spun around in front of the goal 36 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Quitilipi's goal. If Panos Karkantos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Korneliusz Brak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Heleno de Freitas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Korneliusz Brak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Korneliusz Brak came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by Edson Futebol Clube's Ernesto Fontes. But to his dismay, Ernesto Fontes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremey Vanooteghem was the one to do the kick off. Quitilipi's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Ernesto Fontes scored to the left of an out of position Korneliusz Brak, making the score, 0-3. Marcu Scripcaru hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th play minute Heleno de Freitas came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Korneliusz Brak. 0-4. Elliott Tinglöf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Paul Christini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goal looked a bit too open when Panos Karkantos came free, but Korneliusz Brak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heleno de Freitas in the 69th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Ernesto Fontes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Korneliusz Brak. Ernesto Fontes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. Edson Futebol Clube's Roger Milla was substituted for Tuncay Şanlı. Korneliusz Brak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ernesto Fontes in the 77th minute of the match. In the 80th match minute, Quitilipi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcu Scripcaru to maneuver through the defense. Korneliusz Brak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heleno de Freitas in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak got control of the ball when Ernesto Fontes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Korneliusz Brak was a little too slow when Heleno de Freitas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 96th minute. The score was now 0-6. When the final whistle sounded Edson Futebol Clube left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Quitilipi.
