The corner ended in Jeremey Vanooteghem almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Alex Team's Ion Chificeac did a great save. Luca Codrescu thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Ion Chificeac, a very annoying self made goal in the 17th minute which led to 0-1. After a rather tough play, Quitilipi's Marcu Scripcaru got a free kick in the 19th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Quitilipi's goalkeeper Korneliusz Brak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eustaquio Bartuelo. Ion Chificeac showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremey Vanooteghem, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Quitilipi's Korneliusz Brak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Erosa in the 27th minute of play. Alex Team were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Quitilipi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Cornel Bodiu took the corner.
