Erling Jeilman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from 史挺南 went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Silvério Pinheiro scored 0-3 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erling Jeilman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Erling Jeilman didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel Pirani went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. In the 23rd minute Abel Pirani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Jeilman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the FC Drik defense, Abel Pirani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erling Jeilman. The FC Drik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erling Jeilman should have stopped the shot. Erling Jeilman stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of 史挺南's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. Erling Jeilman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Pirani in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute Kauã Leo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erling Jeilman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36th minute, 史挺南 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Erling Jeilman was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Luiz Gustavo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abel Pirani in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Drik's goalkeeper Erling Jeilman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erling Jeilman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Gustavo Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 47 minutes into the game, GRÊMIO's Silvério Pinheiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erling Jeilman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when 史挺南 stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Erling Jeilman was a little too slow when Abel Pirani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 0-8. Erling Jeilman was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvério Pinheiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-9 in the 56 minute of play. Erling Jeilman made a fantastic save in the 60th minute, when 史挺南 sent off a good shot on target. In the 62nd minute, 史挺南 reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Erling Jeilman. The goal made the score 0-10. Erling Jeilman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GRÊMIO's 史挺南 shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-11 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 70th minute, Gerdt Alenkjær ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sergio Goicoechea was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-12. Erling Jeilman didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when GRÊMIO's 史挺南 shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-13 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 76th match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Svenaage Lisner to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th minute Silvério Pinheiro suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Knut Lidbjerg's late challenge caught a GRÊMIO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Knut Lidbjerg helped the player get up and apologised. GRÊMIO's Roberto Fontes was substituted for Silvério Pinheiro. In the 79th match minute, FC Drik was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Knut Lidbjerg to maneuver through the defense. Erling Jeilman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aníbal Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Moura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Erling Jeilman made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Abel Pirani got free with Erling Jeilman in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gerdt Alenkjær fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Drik's protests and gave Gerdt Alenkjær a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Drik getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Gerdt Alenkjær hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Roberto Fontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erling Jeilman. That made the score 1-15 in the 88 minute of play. Hauge Linow hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Knut Lidbjerg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 played minutes, GRÊMIO's Aníbal Moura shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erling Jeilman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GRÊMIO reached it. Erling Jeilman came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by GRÊMIO's Abel Pirani. But to his dismay, Abel Pirani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-17. When the match was over GRÊMIO could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Drik throughout the match.
