An unexpectedly hard shot by Ranko Kvarantan in the 13th minute of play forced Areco FC's goalkeeper Gabriel Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Areco FC's Gabriel Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slawomir Polkoski in the 14th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agustin Abaunza got free with Bernardo Tarulli in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Igor Cristofor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernardo Tarulli. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Bernardo Tarulli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustin Abaunza in the 23rd minute. After a rather tough play, Areco FC's Tor Kämpe got a free kick in the 25th minute. The audience was convinced that Slawomir Polkoski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gabriel Urtats was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After some careless play in the Areco FC defense, Ranko Kvarantan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gabriel Urtats. The Areco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gabriel Urtats should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ranko Kvarantan in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gabriel Urtats prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Areco FC booed when Club Atlethico Talleres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slawomir Polkoski didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 57 minutes of play, Club Atlethico Talleres's Ranko Kvarantan made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bernardo Tarulli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. With an all-out effort, Club Atlethico Talleres's Gabriel Urtats threw himself towards the right post 92 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Slawomir Polkoski, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
