The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, B68 Toftir's Maximino Goi got a free kick in the 7th minute. After some careless play in the B68 Toftir defense, Filomeno Pasqual kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Beat Leutwyler. The B68 Toftir fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Beat Leutwyler should have stopped the shot. Beat Leutwyler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filomeno Pasqual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th minute Club Atlethico Talleres were awarded a corner. Arnoldo Orgaz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Teodosio Napier almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but B68 Toftir's Beat Leutwyler did a great save. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Teodosio Napier put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Beat Leutwyler. Bernardo Tarulli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Vázquez in the 16th minute of the match. With a little luck, Club Atlethico Talleres's Bernardo Tarulli got control of the ball when Maximino Goi tried to sneak it across the goal line.
