Alfred Kiszkiel received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wladimir Vinthen came out and tried to block the shot, but Alfred Kiszkiel slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. In the 10th match minute, Flamengo CIMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Édouard Mendy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luca Langoni in the 14th minute of the match. Flamengo CIMZ's Alfred Kiszkiel got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Flamengo CIMZ defense, Vilmar Murillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Édouard Mendy. The Flamengo CIMZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Édouard Mendy should have stopped the shot. 27 minutes into the match, The Potters's goalkeeper Wladimir Vinthen had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfred Kiszkiel. The supporters of Flamengo CIMZ booed when The Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Flamengo CIMZ players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The Potters were winning 1-2.

Wladimir Vinthen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jack Black in the 54th minute of play. With his leg Édouard Mendy managed to avoid a goal in the 56thth minute, when The Potters's Luca Langoni fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Luca Langoni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Édouard Mendy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Potters made a substitution. Burhanettin Kutsoy replaced Tommy Rueløkke.
