Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) XV de Indaial's Ovidio Raymundo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ovidio Raymundo in the 7th minute of play. After 9 minutes of play, FC Buzău's Marius Bunoaică made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osmar Antunes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidio Raymundo in the 17th minute of play. Ovidio Raymundo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gheorghe Baldovin came out and tried to block the shot, but Ovidio Raymundo slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 21st minute. Osmar Antunes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cătălin Arjoca in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonard Aanuţei in the 25th minute of play forced XV de Indaial's goalkeeper Osmar Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ovidio Raymundo might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gheorghe Baldovin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ovidio Raymundo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 32nd minute, Altay Timurkan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Antunes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edinson Cavani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osmar Antunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edinson Cavani, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin got control of the ball when Ovidio Raymundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st minute, Josué Galvão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Augustin Cernat ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osmar Antunes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Ovidio Raymundo in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gheorghe Baldovin, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After the first half FC Buzău were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cătălin Arjoca to make the kick off. Lucian Dejeu made in the 51st minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Edinson Cavani however managed to control. Ovidio Raymundo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidio Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. Osmar Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marius Bunoaică in the 59th minute. XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save XV de Indaial from getting a goal against them. XV de Indaial's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Benjamim Trancoso in the 66th minute. The corner led to XV de Indaial's Cássio Valle getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. XV de Indaial's Benjamim Trancoso quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Vintilă Stoicea, made in the 70th minute of the game. In the 72nd minute of the match, Cătălin Arjoca tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Osmar Antunes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 73rd minute of the match FC Buzău got a corner. XV de Indaial's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Leonard Aanuţei ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of XV de Indaial booed when FC Buzău was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augustin Cernat didn't get a good kick on the ball. 75 minutes into the match, FC Buzău's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidio Raymundo came free, but Gheorghe Baldovin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ovidio Raymundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Raymundo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gheorghe Baldovin having to make a save. With a little luck, XV de Indaial's Osmar Antunes got control of the ball when Cătălin Arjoca tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ovidio Raymundo in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gheorghe Baldovin prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
