In the 12th minute of the match Ponta da Praia FC got a corner. Onyx's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wiliam Santos ran over to the corner to take the kick. A hard shot 18 in the game by Jurand Jaraczeski from a close distance when the talented Gustavo Vides managed to make a qualified save. Ponta da Praia FC's players were relieved. In the 20th minute, Carlos Meira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zdzislaw Domarecki was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Gustavo Vides showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Piotr Zahemski in the 26th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Ponta da Praia FC defense, Piotr Zahemski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gustavo Vides. The Ponta da Praia FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gustavo Vides should have stopped the shot. 33 minutes into the match, Ponta da Praia FC's goalkeeper Gustavo Vides had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Piotr Zahemski. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Piotr Zahemski made a kick off. Jurand Jaraczeski took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustavo Vides. Gustavo Vides dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. In the 57th match minute, Ponta da Praia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Quirino to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the game, Piotr Zahemski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Gustavo Vides was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 68th match minute, Ponta da Praia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Umberto Negri to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 70 minutes, Carlos Meira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ponta da Praia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Meira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Ponta da Praia FC's goal looked a bit too open when Piotr Zahemski came free, but Gustavo Vides reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piotr Zahemski scored 5-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustavo Vides, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
