Don Malbec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Don Malbec in the 8th minute of play forced Metolokos MZ Clube's goalkeeper Romeu Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlotte FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Kaja Jamak in the 9th minute. Charlotte FC's Jaques Van Mellaert was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Romeu Netto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jaques Van Mellaert who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Romeu Netto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Jaques Van Mellaert had several of the Metolokos MZ Clube's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 10 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Romeu Netto as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Charlotte FC's Don Malbec in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Metolokos MZ Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Don Malbec might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Malbec ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Metolokos MZ Clube's Romeu Netto got control of the ball when Don Malbec tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18th match minute, Metolokos MZ Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Peres to maneuver through the defense. Don Malbec might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Malbec ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 22nd minute Andrés Chavez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Miles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrés Chavez in the 24th minute of play. If Don Malbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeu Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Malbec, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Don Malbec might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romeu Netto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Malbec ran back to his position shaking his head. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Baptista, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Don Malbec fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeu Netto having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Metolokos MZ Clube made a substitution. Raimundo Mesquita replaced Alex Peres. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yakup Kadri Akbatur was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Don Malbec left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Charlotte FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The Charlotte FC fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Charlotte FC's Braulio Hitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 63rd minute, Raimundo Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Don Malbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romeu Netto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Malbec in the 69th minute of the match. Romeu Netto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Malbec, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Don Malbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. When Kaja Jamak came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Charlotte FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kaja Jamak couldn't finish the play. If Vicente Rafferty had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaques Van Mellaert hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. In the 95th minute, Wander Suzanne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There was no doubt that Charlotte FC were the better team. Charlotte FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
