After a defensive mix-up in Malmö White Knights's zone, Danny Gilespie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Petter Fransson came out of the goal and Danny Gilespie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 4th minute of the match, Tim Charles tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Petter Fransson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johan Hedlund in the 8th minute of play forced Rangers FC's goalkeeper Fergus Fairbairn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 played minutes Rangers FC got a freekick which was hit by Harold Fraser. A collision led to Malmö White Knights getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Lucas Gummeson hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the match, Malmö White Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Raymond Johnston came free, but Petter Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute Rutger Delin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johan Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fergus Fairbairn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Sporran charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Patrick Sporran the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd minute Lucas Gummeson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fergus Fairbairn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fergus Fairbairn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Gummeson in the 34th minute of play. After 35 minutes of play Malmö White Knights's Lucas Gummeson was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 36th minute, Lucas Gummeson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Petter Fransson made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Raymond Johnston sent off a good shot on target. When Johan Hedlund came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Malmö White Knights fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Johan Hedlund couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond Johnston in the 42nd minute of play forced Malmö White Knights's goalkeeper Petter Fransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Raymond Johnston fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Petter Fransson, passed just outside the right post. Petter Fransson came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Rangers FC's Logan McCubbin. But to his dismay, Logan McCubbin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Raymond Johnston was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Malmö White Knights's goal looked a bit too open when Danny Gilespie came free, but Petter Fransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Danny Gilespie came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Rangers FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Gilespie couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Tyler McCraw managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rangers FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyler McCraw was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petter Fransson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 71st match minute, Rangers FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Sporran to maneuver through the defense. Malmö White Knights's Staffan Wallin couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Rangers FC. A collision led to Malmö White Knights getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Rutger Delin hit a great ball. 82 minutes into the game, Rutger Delin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Malmö White Knights's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rangers FC the free kick. In the 82nd minute, Rutger Delin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
