Tiaguinho da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Natã Quintal, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute Nova Venécia-ES were awarded a corner. Valdo Diniz went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Nova Venécia-ES's Luís Gustavo Botelho getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Dino Tavares hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Luís Gustavo do Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Rodrigues in the 88th minute of play. Tiaguinho da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Quintal in the 90th minute of the match. When Bernardo Soares fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Xapetuba Futebol Clube's protests and gave Bernardo Soares a yellow card for diving instead. Tiaguinho da Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Natã Quintal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
