An unexpectedly hard shot by Jarvis McLaughlin in the 7th minute of play forced Åsnes's goalkeeper Sturle Åsland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Åsnes's zone, Isaltino Saraiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sturle Åsland came out of the goal and Isaltino Saraiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 15 minutes, Sturle Åsland successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 18th minute, Åsnes's John-Einar Bøen seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed John-Einar Bøen the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Åsnes protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and John-Einar Bøen had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 18th minute, one of Åsnes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Åsnes. In the 28th match minute, Åsnes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tor-Kristian Fosse to maneuver through the defense. 29 minutes into the game, Tango en Miami FC's Jarvis McLaughlin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sturle Åsland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Gerrit Cronen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kim Alnes in the 35th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Izydor Trela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kim Alnes to make the kick off. Poyraz Erçetin hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Sturle Åsland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Izydor Trela in the 53rd minute of the match. A collision led to Tango en Miami FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Rudolf Sherman hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kim Alnes in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gerrit Cronen saved Tango en Miami FC from getting behind. Rudolf Sherman's late challenge caught a Åsnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rudolf Sherman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Tango en Miami FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Rudolf Sherman hit a great ball. The supporters of Tango en Miami FC booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Poyraz Erçetin didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute, Kim Alnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bernabe Bazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sturle Åsland having to interfere. The supporters of Tango en Miami FC booed when Åsnes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor-Kristian Fosse didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tango en Miami FC fans' excitement grew in the 67th match minute when Tango en Miami FC's Bernabe Bazo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Gerrit Cronen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kim Alnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Tango en Miami FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in Tango en Miami FC's zone, Roman Bide stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit Cronen came out of the goal and Roman Bide tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tango en Miami FC fully deserved thier win.
