Sakura Storm's Tadeusz Dziechciowski pulled a muscle in his leg after 20 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arrigo Alonzi during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sakura Storm made a substitution. Rufio Cieza replaced Tadeusz Dziechciowski. After 22 played minutes Bassa Valle FC got a freekick which was hit by Arrigo Alonzi. Rufio Cieza blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eugenio Mazzocco having to make a save. Rufio Cieza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eugenio Mazzocco having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rufio Cieza in the 26th minute of play forced Bassa Valle FC's goalkeeper Eugenio Mazzocco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zakir Novruzov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Corna, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 33 minutes, Severino Carriedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sakura Storm and the Bassa Valle FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 33 played minutes Sakura Storm got a freekick which was hit by Severino Carriedo. Rufio Cieza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adriano Pallini stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bassa Valle FC's Eugenio Mazzocco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rufio Cieza in the 51st minute of play. After 53 minutes Bassa Valle FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Marvelous Ronaldinho who took care of the corner kick. Sakura Storm's Marvelous Ronaldinho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Eugenio Mazzocco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eugenio Mazzocco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rufio Cieza in the 60th minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Sakura Storm's Rufio Cieza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eugenio Mazzocco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bassa Valle FC's Andrea Lio was substituted for Arrigo Alonzi. 74 minutes into the match, Bassa Valle FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rufio Cieza came free, but Eugenio Mazzocco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zakir Novruzov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th match minute, Sakura Storm was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Carriedo to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute, Sakura Storm's Sacit Selmi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sacit Selmi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sakura Storm protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sacit Selmi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 91st minute of the game. One of Sakura Storm:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bassa Valle FC:s goal. Zakir Novruzov had in the 93rdth minute some difficulties stopping Gordon Forrest's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After 96 played minutes Bassa Valle FC got a freekick which was hit by Francesco Corna. Sakura Storm's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Bassa Valle FC had won, even though Sakura Storm had held more of the ball.
