The supporters of KKS Lech Poznań booed when Coviolo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Brunelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kent Sandström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 11th minute, Walery Kempka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roch Brodzki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andrea Gambini in the 12th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, KKS Lech Poznań's Didier Gobbelijns threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrzej Pietrowiak, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Andrzej Pietrowiak made the kick off in the second half. Andrea Gambini let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 55th minute shot 0-5 at rihgt post. Didier Gobbelijns showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Pietrowiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. 65 minutes into the match, KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Roch Brodzki had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrea Gambini. KKS Lech Poznań's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Andrea Gambini 68 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. In the 97th minute, 姚军耀 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Coviolo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-10. The Coviolo players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
