CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filip Soetemans was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 8th minute, Filip Soetemans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Filip Soetemans slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Melquiades Amor. That made the score 2-0 after 11 minutes of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 16 minutes into the game, when Ardwyad Vulcan put in a rough tackle. In the 15th minute, one of CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA. Melquiades Amor had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Filip Soetemans's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrik Henriksson in the 21st minute of play. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Zekeriya Kaim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Machado in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Filip Soetemans in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Melquiades Amor saved CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA from getting behind. In the 31st minute of the match, Filip Soetemans got a very nice opportunity to score, but Melquiades Amor was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Melquiades Amor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. Filip Soetemans's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Melquiades Amor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Egídio Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Rene Sergi hit a great ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Filip Soetemans made the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Inácio Moreira in the 52nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Erim Baştürk. Melquiades Amor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henrik Henriksson, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Melquiades Amor came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Henrik Henriksson. But to his dismay, Henrik Henriksson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Filip Soetemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Federico Chiesa was substituted for Sándor Nagy. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Filip Soetemans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's supporters rose to their feet, but Filip Soetemans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Melquiades Amor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 75th minute Filip Soetemans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Amor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Stefan Zweig nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Amor made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Soetemans in the 82nd minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Chiesa took the corner. The corner led Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's Filip Soetemans to fire away a dangerous shot which Melquiades Amor despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Zweig in the 85th minute of play forced CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's goalkeeper Melquiades Amor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL were awarded a corner in the 87th minute after CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Federico Chiesa took the corner. After 91 played minutes Fenerbahce ISTANBUL got a freekick which was hit by Selmi Eracar. Fenerbahce ISTANBUL's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
