The Sundens BK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilhelm Säv should have stopped the shot. Pablo Mei made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sajeev Rajah in the 15th minute. Wilhelm Säv came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Plaza Jewell's Freddy Amato. But to his dismay, Freddy Amato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Sundens BK's Wilhelm Säv played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Amato in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Freddy Amato in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilhelm Säv saved Sundens BK from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Johan Hökkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wilhelm Säv took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aristides Iratxo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Mei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sajeev Rajah in the 26th minute of play. The supporters of Sundens BK booed when Plaza Jewell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cayetano Playo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aristides Iratxo in the 33rd minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Wilhelm Säv to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The audience was convinced that Sajeev Rajah's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pablo Mei was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Plaza Jewell walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
