Jan Persson ran back to his position shaking his head. Jan Persson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Marcus Vase made a huge save. Jan Persson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcus Vase came out and tried to block the shot, but Jan Persson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 8th minute. A hard shot 12 in the game by Jan Persson from a close distance when the talented Marcus Vase managed to make a qualified save. Bennis's players were relieved. Euan von Liechtenstein charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Euan von Liechtenstein the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralf Norström during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 28th match minute, Bennis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Norström to maneuver through the defense. If Jan Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Persson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Marcus Vase made a huge save. Gong Ying Zheng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Åke Hallgren's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Persson in the 45th minute of play. When Bo Bo came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the VC zoetwater fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bo Bo couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cain Velasquez got free with Gong Ying Zheng in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of VC zoetwater booed when Bennis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Mattsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 65thth minute of the game Cain Velasquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cain Velasquez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bennis made a substitution. Eskil Kvick replaced Jan-Åke Hallgren. In the 76th minute Jan Persson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcus Vase saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jan Persson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Marcus Vase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Persson in the 80th minute of play. After 81 minutes, Lucas Ekrot mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bennis and the VC zoetwater players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Lucas Ekrot hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. VC zoetwater's Gong Ying Zheng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cain Velasquez in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Cain Velasquez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bennis's supporters rose to their feet, but Cain Velasquez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gong Ying Zheng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Bennis players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for VC zoetwater.
