In the 7th minute, Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Emiliano Caiola dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Karol Kinic hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The supporters of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn booed when Mauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Islam Slimani didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jakov Cvjetković's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lu Hong Qiang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. Zebastian Bergfeldt took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lu Hong Qiang. Lu Hong Qiang dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Lu Hong Qiang made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Zebastian Bergfeldt sent off a good shot on target. Lu Hong Qiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zebastian Bergfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karol Kinic in the 28th minute of play. With his leg Lu Hong Qiang managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Jan de Vlieger fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jan de Vlieger who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 32ndth minute tested the skills of Lu Hong Qiang when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 36thth minute of the game Zebastian Bergfeldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mauro's Lu Hong Qiang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan de Vlieger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lu Hong Qiang having to interfere. After some careless play in the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn defense, Karol Kinic kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralph Roeles. The Julias Rascals Apeldoorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralph Roeles should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Karol Kinic to make the kick off. Julias Rascals Apeldoorn's Ralph Roeles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luka Modrić in the 56th minute of play. Lu Hong Qiang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan de Vlieger in the 59th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan de Vlieger in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lu Hong Qiang saved Mauro from getting behind. Ralph Roeles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wasyl Pincoski in the 67th minute of the match. Zula Tamulewicz kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Mauro made a substitution. Teofil Bara replaced Luka Modrić. The supporters of Julias Rascals Apeldoorn booed when Mauro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zula Tamulewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bengt Petersson struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Lu Hong Qiang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Julias Rascals Apeldoorn. If Islam Slimani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lu Hong Qiang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emiliano Caiola, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 83rd play minutes Jan de Vlieger shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Lu Hong Qiang and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt Petersson in the 88th minute of play forced Mauro's goalkeeper Lu Hong Qiang to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emiliano Caiola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johan Saveneij hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Julias Rascals Apeldoorn players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
