Valdomiro Ferraz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cătălin Geangu's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Valdomiro Ferraz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cornel Panaitescu in the 24th minute of the match. Carpathians's Stefan Dobay was substituted for Cornel Panaitescu. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cătălin Geangu to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdomiro Ferraz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. If Stefan Dobay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute.
