Dieguinho Amaral started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Dieguinho Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giovani Moura was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the game, Paulopolis's Ruy Carneiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovani Moura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Giovani Moura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ruy Carneiro in the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Calesso FC's zone, Ruy Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovani Moura came out of the goal and Ruy Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 19 minutes into the game, Paulopolis's Dieguinho Amaral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovani Moura made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Dieguinho Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Giovani Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovani Moura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Carneiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 27 minutes of play, Paulopolis's Ruy Carneiro made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovani Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dieguinho Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giovani Moura. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dieguinho Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. Maurício Motta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giovani Moura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dieguinho Amaral's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Paulopolis's Maurício Motta made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Giovani Moura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dieguinho Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Giovani Moura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 44 minutes, Dieguinho Amaral made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Calesso FC's Giovani Moura tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erasmo Valle stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Calesso FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Dito Pontes hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Sabóia in the 52nd minute of play forced Calesso FC's goalkeeper Giovani Moura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Calesso FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adhemar Valle to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, Ruy Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paulopolis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ruy Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 62 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Yuri Tinoco. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Calesso FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Maurício Motta scored to the left of an out of position Giovani Moura, making the score, 0-8. Calesso FC's Giovani Moura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Calesso FC from getting a goal against them. If Maurício Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 78 played minutes Calesso FC got a freekick which was hit by Dito Pontes. After a rather tough play, Calesso FC's Dito Pontes got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ruy Carneiro got free with Giovani Moura in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Giovani Moura was out of position in the 87 minute of play, and Marcel Vieira capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Marcel Vieira really showed his touch with that goal: 0-10. Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulopolis played a much better game than Calesso FC and deserved their victory. The Calesso FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
