The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 played minutes Paulopolis got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Falcão. After a defensive mix-up in Paulopolis's zone, Esen Soyurgal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cayetano Rito came out of the goal and Esen Soyurgal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 10 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Mehmet Akif Emrettin came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esen Soyurgal in the 16th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 19 minutes into the match, blackeagle's goalkeeper Agah Ergüner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dieguinho Amaral. Dieguinho Amaral might have been able to make a better finish in the 23rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agah Ergüner. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dieguinho Amaral ran back to his position shaking his head. 24 minutes into the match, blackeagle's goal looked a bit too open when Dieguinho Amaral came free, but Agah Ergüner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Vecdet Dağasan came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dieguinho Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Agah Ergüner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Paulopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Esen Soyurgal came free, but Cayetano Rito reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulopolis's Cayetano Rito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esen Soyurgal in the 35th minute of play. Dieguinho Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dieguinho Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, blackeagle's Andaç Uz got a free kick in the 41st minute. If Maurício Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruy Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dieguinho Amaral was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cayetano Rito prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 70 minutes, Yuri Tinoco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paulopolis and the blackeagle players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehmet Akif Emrettin in the 76th minute of play forced Paulopolis's goalkeeper Cayetano Rito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Despite being the better team, blackeagle failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
