Azul Y Plomo's Zacarias Cabrero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silverio Tuste in the 9th minute of play. Serafino Jurdan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tor Bern, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Bern came free, but Serafino Jurdan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Azul Y Plomo getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Diaz Mota hit a great ball. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Newells Old Boys's goalkeeper Serafino Jurdan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, Newells Old Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Tor Bern came free, but Serafino Jurdan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tor Bern took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Serafino Jurdan. Serafino Jurdan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 27th minute, Diaz Mota hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafino Jurdan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tor Bern in the 29th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Azul Y Plomo's Tor Bern nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Serafino Jurdan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Zacarias Cabrero was a little too slow when Silverio Tuste got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 33rd minute. The score was now 1-2. A collision led to Azul Y Plomo getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Navarro Rojas hit a great ball. Serafino Jurdan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tor Bern, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tor Bern blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Serafino Jurdan having to make a save. Manolo Area kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tor Bern to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Tor Bern notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan. Serafino Jurdan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 54 minutes, Cesar Cordairo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newells Old Boys and the Azul Y Plomo players grew even worse after the yellow card. It was José Macías who took care of the corner kick. Serafino Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zuri Macías in the 62nd minute of play. Serafino Jurdan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hector-Luis Arzola in the 63rd minute. Cristian Blanco struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Zacarias Cabrero didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Newells Old Boys. With a little luck, Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan got control of the ball when Hector-Luis Arzola tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 71stth minute of the game Zuri Macías who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Newells Old Boys's Serafino Jurdan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Nicolas Diniz threw the ball into play from the sideline. Newells Old Boys's Elias Medeiros quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Hector-Luis Arzola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Jurdan having to interfere. Hector-Luis Arzola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zacarias Cabrero stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Silverio Tuste's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. Zacarias Cabrero didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Newells Old Boys's Silverio Tuste shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-3 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 89th minute, Zuri Macías made a precise shot to the right of Serafino Jurdan. Newells Old Boys's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Newells Old Boys made a substitution. Cirilo Goren replaced Cristian Calderon. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Azul Y Plomo had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
