Tapa Athlétic™'s Yan Chuan Ling was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Renato Vargas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Renato Vargas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herbert Rakke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Eurico lago fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting Clube de Gaya's protests and gave Eurico lago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, one of Sporting Clube de Gaya:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sporting Clube de Gaya. In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Tapa Athlétic™. Madis Indrekson stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Renato Vargas. 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Gheorghiţă Hagi came free, but Renato Vargas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Tapa Athlétic™'s Gheorghiţă Hagi got a free kick in the 20th minute. A hard shot by Ahmet Koralp Tükel from long distance, 21 minutes into the match, got Heigo Mustkivi's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Samuel Cordarell kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 27th match minute, Sporting Clube de Gaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alcides Falcão to maneuver through the defense. Renato Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vahur Nirk in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute of the match Tapa Athlétic™ got a corner. Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Madis Indrekson ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Madis Indrekson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Renato Vargas quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 33rd minute Vahur Nirk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Renato Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tapa Athlétic™ were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Sporting Clube de Gaya's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Madis Indrekson took the corner. After 37 minutes, Vahur Nirk made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fredy Montero made a kick off. In the 53rd play minute Mugurel Chiriloaie came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Renato Vargas. 0-6. Renato Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Chiriloaie in the 56th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vahur Nirk in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Renato Vargas saved Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting behind. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Renato Vargas got control of the ball when Mugurel Chiriloaie tried to sneak it across the goal line. Renato Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mugurel Chiriloaie in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Renato Vargas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gheorghiţă Hagi. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Mugurel Chiriloaie took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Renato Vargas to make any attempt to save it. When Kalju Palk fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tapa Athlétic™'s protests and gave Kalju Palk a yellow card for diving instead. Kalju Palk hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Mugurel Chiriloaie who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 77thth minute tested the skills of Renato Vargas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tapa Athlétic™ made a substitution. Sven Villems replaced Leopold Mineja. After 80 minutes Tapa Athlétic™'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fredy Montero who took care of the corner kick. In the 85th minute of the match, Vahur Nirk tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Renato Vargas saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Renato Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gheorghiţă Hagi in the 87th minute. Heigo Mustkivi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fredy Montero in the 90th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalju Palk in the 91st minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Renato Vargas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Renato Vargas made a fantastic save in the 93rd minute, when Mugurel Chiriloaie sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Tapa Athlétic™'s Kara Teka got a free kick in the 93rd minute. In the 94th match minute, Tapa Athlétic™ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kara Teka to maneuver through the defense. After 96 played minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya got a freekick which was hit by Sandro Rangel. When the final whistle sounded Tapa Athlétic™ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Clube de Gaya.
