Waldir Gaúcho was a little too slow when Jean Britton got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 1-0. Jean Britton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Waldir Gaúcho made a huge save. Jean Britton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Waldir Gaúcho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. The throw-in from Leontin Stamate in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sport Lisboa e Benfica's Emilio Hankins. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind ABK Black Warriors73's goalkeeper Waldir Gaúcho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sport Lisboa e Benfica were awarded a corner in the 48th minute after ABK Black Warriors73's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Barış Birsoy took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Du Lei Bin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Britton made a kick off. Waldir Gaúcho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Herb Good made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Kaplan Damjanović sent off a good shot on target. In the 67th minute Jean Britton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldir Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Jean Britton's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldir Gaúcho was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. ABK Black Warriors73's Waldir Gaúcho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jean Britton in the 74th minute of play. In the 77th minute, Jean Britton made a precise shot to the right of Waldir Gaúcho. ABK Black Warriors73's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Sport Lisboa e Benfica made a substitution. Sam McCain replaced Emilio Hankins. In the 82nd minute, Leontin Stamate hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The ABK Black Warriors73 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Waldir Gaúcho should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sport Lisboa e Benfica had played much better football throughout.
