To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute, Umbruso Rial ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gigi Mantu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. In the 20th minute, Lázaro Loco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Umbruso Rial was extremely unlucky when he, in the 61st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. CD Suscal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Umbruso Rial was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Estrada Azcona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Gigi Mantu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Lázaro Loco fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gigi Mantu, passed just outside the right post. When the match was over CD Suscal could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mannerheim throughout the match.
