Renan Bouzat was slow to take the kick. During this time R.C. Marseille's players had a chance to rest. The corner led R.C. Adriano Pappalardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute of the match R.C. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. chacarita juniors's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. The crowd rose to their feet as chacarita juniors's Moises Cayo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Didier Lafargue. That made the score 1-1 after 31 minutes of play. In the 34thth minute of the game Cyrille Melon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but chacarita juniors's Adriano Pappalardo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when R.C. Marseille's Cyrille Melon fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Adriano Pappalardo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cyrille Melon in the 41st minute of play. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arkhip Ilyin made a kick off. With a little luck, chacarita juniors's Adriano Pappalardo got control of the ball when Renan Bouzat tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in chacarita juniors's zone, Joe Plantin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adriano Pappalardo came out of the goal and Joe Plantin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
