The JK raamatuid.ee fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eimar Rank should have stopped the shot. If Renan Bouzat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marseille were leading 0-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cyrille Melon was the one to do the kick off. JK raamatuid.ee's Eimar Rank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save JK raamatuid.ee from getting a goal against them. JK raamatuid.ee's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Mihail Toader scored to the left of an out of position Eimar Rank, making the score, 0-6. Didier Lafargue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roomet Raud, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Eimar Rank didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cyrille Melon went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Aron Lipp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Didier Lafargue having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Cyrille Melon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eimar Rank was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-8. In the 66th minute, Cyrille Melon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The R.C. Marseille fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. 72 minutes into the game, Cyrille Melon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-10. Eimar Rank was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute, Djibril Mourot got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 1-10 when Roomet Raud sped through R.C. Marseille's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Didier Lafargue. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Roomet Raud in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Didier Lafargue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, R.C. Marseille's Renan Bouzat sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eimar Rank narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
